What is CipherRank?
CipherRank is a scenario-based study app for CompTIA certification exams. Instead of flashcards or question banks, you play through realistic cybersecurity missions that test your decision-making. Currently available tracks: Security+ (SY0-701) and Network+ (N10-009). Available on iPhone.
What certification tracks are available?
CipherRank currently covers CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701) and CompTIA Network+ (N10-009). Each track has its own mission library, domain structure, and readiness dashboard mapped to the official exam blueprint. Each track requires its own subscription.
How does the free tier work?
Free users get 3 missions per week across all tracks, with full access to all domains, rank progression, streak tracking, and the Readiness Dashboard. The weekly count resets every Monday at midnight. No trial period — the free tier is permanent.
How do subscriptions work?
Each certification track has its own monthly subscription, managed entirely through Apple. Subscribing to a track removes the weekly mission cap for that track. You can subscribe to one or both tracks. Cancel anytime in your iPhone's Settings under Subscriptions. No lock-in, no cancellation fees.
Does CipherRank work offline?
Yes. All missions are bundled in the app. Your progress, scores, and preferences are stored on-device and sync across your devices via iCloud when you're back online.

No. CipherRank is an independent study tool. CompTIA, Security+, and Network+ are registered trademarks of CompTIA, Inc. CipherRank is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by CompTIA.
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
Open CipherRank on your new device, go to Profile > Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Your subscriptions are tied to your Apple ID and will be restored automatically. Your progress syncs via iCloud.
